We have an update to everyone regarding our structure and plans for 3.1. As many of you know, Eternal Lunia's roots originate from a vision for a Lunia with no pay-to-win. We had not incorporated any pay-to-win in the cash shop, and ran the server as long as we could. We started out with a small staff, and aimed at developing a new experience for Lunia. At the time, Lunia was plagued by schemes of servers requiring players to empty their wallets in order to succeed in the game. Throughout our experience with Eternal Lunia, we would like to believe that we achieved this vision very well. -- Unfortunately, due to circumstances in life, each of the core members had less time to dedicate to pushing out patches and updates, and the server became unmanageable.
Learning a lot from our prior experiences with Spirit Lunia and Eternal Lunia, we came to the conclusion that in order to have a successful Lunia server, you must have a team that is dedicated to the community, and dedicated to bringing new and exciting gameplay! Each server in the past is evidence of the impact a team can have on the success of the server. Now granted, people measure success in different ways. Some may measure success as the amount of revenue and income you can gain from a server. Others may measure success and the amount of players your server has online at any given time. But at Eternal Lunia, we measure our success based on the happiness of the players. There is nothing that matters more for the life of Lunia than the happiness of our players.
With that being said, we wanted to announce our server structure, and future plans! Eternal Lunia and Lunia Ultimate forces will be joining together to bring the best Lunia experience possible. After careful consideration with the staff of Lunia Ultimate, we have concluded that Lunia Ultimate has the same genuine intentions as Eternal Lunia. We both wish to provide a high quality Lunia server, with no pay-to-win, for everyone to enjoy. This server will not necessarily be Eternal Lunia, and it will not necessarily be Lunia Ultimate. The server consists of a new hierarchy as follows
These individuals are responsible for the upkeep of the server. This includes ensuring that server architecture in place is functioning correctly, and performing maintenances. In addition, the highest level of oversight ensures that all decisions and actions within the staff follow our dream of Lunia. These individuals will be responsible for final approval/review of any and all content updates, in addition to moderating all staff members below. Administrators also act as peace keepers to ensure that all staff follows a code of ethics and standards, in regards to development, fairness, system/power abuse, and communication with the playerbase. Administrators partake in all aspects and roles of the game.
These individuals are responsible for creating content on our server. This includes, but is not limited to, brand new stages, new skills, character rebalancing, and visual cosmetic items development. Developers should be taking into consideration player feedback, and utilize a suggestion and polling system to ensure that the path of Lunia is going down the right direction. Ultimately, the new content must still be approved by Administrators, to ensure that the vision of a fun and exciting Lunia is upheld.
These individuals are responsible for aiding the staff in any way possible. Game Masters will likely have the most interaction and communication with players directly. Game Masters will likely be around to answer questions, resolve tickets and ingame issues, and lead in-game events! The goal of Game Masters is to ensure that the community does not feel like it is being ignored, as communication between administration and developers may be less prevalent due to an increased workload associated with developing content.
We are attempting to keep the server structured, and well-staffed to ensure that the server follows the best vision for Lunia. A server with only 3 staff members surely cannot keep up with the demands of fully maintaining and updating a game. By having a well-diversified staff, we also ensure that we are capable of properly communicating with our players. At the moment, the staff in total is fluent in English, and Portuguese.
Diversified staff will also help ensure that regional-restrictions can be bypassed. Tentatively, server donation models will include:

We are working out a system to ensure that pricing is model in a way that is fair to all players. By not having to jump through hoops converting currency from one to another, and avoid international credit-card restrictions, users in different regions will have a pleasant experience. Differential pricing will be considered and determined at a later point in time, to ensure that donating is affordable and still effective enough to keep our servers hosted.
Most content updates will be vetted through the community. We plan on creating and utilizing the following systems:
Polling System - Allow the community to vote on ideas that will be vetted through the development process
Suggestion System - Allow the community to create suggestions on content updates, which can then be viewed and commented on by other players.
Unlike Eternal Lunia, all development will be much more organized, and structured. This will ensure that a level of review occurs to all content updates to esnure that it funtions as intended, and follows the vision of the server.
A part of every healthy server is interaction between the staff and the community. A model for having GM Events and activities will come to the new server. This could range from anything such as PVP tournaments, to fully custom GM Event stages such as the Spirit Lunia Easter Bunny PVP Event and the Spirit Lunia Spider Queen Event. We recognize that sometimes a GM Event helps bring together the community and have an experience that is rare to Lunia.
We would like to thank everyone for their patience with their journey in Lunia. We have all hopped from server to server, and invested ourselves to this wonderful game. Without all of you, none of this would be possible. Playing Lunia without a community is like trying to eat soup with your fingers -- definitely something that can be done, but probably not as enjoyable as it could be!
