As we approach Beta, one concern was with our progressive release. As stated in the past, we will be doing a progressive release. This means that each subsequent episode of history will be released over the course of the year. With this in mind, it leaves one problem; PVP will be severely hindered by this. Nobody wants to PVP and practice on their combos on a level 5 character... And with that, we really do not wish to hinder your fun. As such, we will be piloting a new system for the game! The proposed system has already been created and is currently in place! Beta will be piloting the system, and determining if we want to keep this system indefinitely, or if we wish to abolish the system when the game progresses far enough. Anyways, here are the details on the system;
Any character with PVP in its name will be flagged as a PVP character. This means that instead of starting at level 1, they will start at level 60 with 75 skill points! This will allow you to have a balanced build in PVP, so you can practice your combo skills! There is a catch though! PVP characters are unable to join any stage which is not PVP, and can only join the PVP SQUARE. If a PVP character tries to connect, create, or join a normal stage, it will immediately be disconnected by the system;; this is to prevent PVP characters from playing in normal stages with normal players. Likewise, a PVP character is only able to connect to the PVP square. If it tries to connect to any other square, it will immediately disconnect and fail to connect to the square.
These PVP characters will start with no items, and no gold. You will be able to gear yourself up as you either gain money from PVPing from the equipment vendor (F6 F1 ingame). Alternatively, if your normal characters are able to farm for equipment, they can also send these to your PVP characters, or your PVP character may purchase equipment from the MARKET. (PVP characters are not supplied with gear or money due to the inevitability that people will abuse the system to constantly create characters to vendor the items/transfer gold and inflate the economy.)
Your pvp character will obviously have different skill slots, a different skill build, and different items. However this also means that... Your PVP character also will not have the same cash items as your main character. We will be investigating to implement a way for you to "duplicate" your cash items on your main character to your PVP alts.
We look forward to having many fun and exciting matches with everyone!
